My Bio
Hugstrosity was started by husband and wife team Rebecca and Edward Stefun. The two are based in Portland Oregon where the Hugstrosity brand was born.
Rebecca is an artist with a background in design, and a passion for sewing. She has been making hand- crafted monsters and selling them on her Etsy.com store since 2008. Her one of a kind monsters can still be found at: www.etsy.com/shop/BlackBerryThorn . Hugstrosities are a mass production line of specialty monsters- based on her hand- made designs.
Edward comes to this project with an exellent head for business logistics, and the experience to back it. He had spent 15 years in the field of sleep disorder equipment sales with a clinical background until finally acting upon his dream of starting a business. Together they decided to make Rebecca's hobby into a full fledged business and Hugstrosity was born.
Our monsters are unlike anything else and have a personality all their own. Though they are monsters and have the teeth to prove it, they are really quite friendly creatures. Some favorite activities include hugs (of course), snuggles, ridding on your shoulder as a conversation starter, and mysteriously turning up right behind you. Make a Hugstrosity your new best friend, or give one to someone you care about.

Summer Time Fun with Hugstrosity

Its summer! The monster love summer because there is so much to do. We've been working covertly on a side project here at Hugstrosity. We call it specialty Hugstrosities. I've basically been taking the three monsters you know and love, and giving them little additions to make they even more monstery. The first one have horns or bat wings, but more are in the works with other interesting appendages and embelishments. As if a teddy bear with tentacles isn't enough right?

Valentine's day is coming up soon, and the Hugstrosity tentacle teddies are all getting anxious to meet that special someone. You may have noticed our recent valentine themed deviations.
